Isaiah 53:4-10

4Surely our
Or sickness
griefs He Himself bbore,
And our
Or pains
sorrows He carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
Or Struck down by
Smitten of eGod, and afflicted.
5But He was
Or wounded
pierced through for gour transgressions,
He was crushed for hour iniquities;
The ichastening for our
Or peace
well-being fell upon Him,
And by kHis scourging we are healed.
6All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all
To
Lit encounter Him
fall on Him.

7He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He did not mopen His mouth;
nLike a lamb that is led to slaughter,
And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers,
So He did not open His mouth.
8By oppression and judgment He was taken away;
And as for His generation, who considered
That He was cut off out of the land of the
Or life
living
pFor the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?
9His grave was assigned with wicked men,
Yet He was with a qrich man in His death,
rBecause He had sdone no violence,
Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

10But the Lord was pleased
To tcrush Him,
Lit He made Him sick
,
vputting Him to grief;
If
Lit His soul
He would render Himself as a guilt xoffering,
He will see y His
Lit seed
offspring,
He will prolong His days,
And the
Or will of
good abpleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.
